Boring Details...
1 - "Sanguine Lupus Waxing" This is the only real song on this page - by which I mean the only one I took seriously as perhaps having some form of enjoyable or promotable final outcome. And even then, I wrote it as I recorded it, and its only 2:35 long: I still have a lot to learn, so I didn't get too anal about the production. Technical details: I grabbed a hip-hop beat from the preset soundbank, and then started jamming over it with guitars and keyboards. I dont like using preset drums...but hey, sometimes its good to skip the starter and go straight into the main course. The last step was to sweeten the result with some sound clips from some great films and games. Clips from "Evil Dead 2," "Beetlejuice" and "Shadowman" all feature. Inclaimer: Everything (except drums) written, played, recorded, sequenced, and produced by me.
Update: I decided exercise (or should that be exorcise?) my skills in Premier by cobbing together a music video, made up of clips from horror films. It can be found here. Be warned, its awesomely spooky.
2 - "Floating Wood" If music were drawing, you could call this one a quick sketch. This was really just to test that the UX1 was working properly. Its a sludgy, moody accoustic romp through the marshes of Kansas.
3 - "Addams Family" - When Kai came over, we made this for a laugh. It is a daft song, so don't listen to it! Unless you find the idea of a hard rock version of the Addams Family theme song played rather badly amusing.
4 - "W_t" This is a really daft thing. Its just an experiment, but just like the Addams Family song, I thought id put in on here, because its actually quite cool too. It was made with Milkytracker. Making music with this is strange. Its like a cross between playing guitar and coding. But the songwriting process is actually quite logical and quick to do once you get started.
5. - "Giddly Iddly" I almost forgot about this one. It was recorded before the hardware fiasco. Its a short, funky/rocky thing. Here, I sequenced the drums, as well as playing and recording all the instruments etc. Everything in this song (except for the sample of Ned Flanders talking) is by me.
Thanks for listening! Have a rockin day. Id also like to let you know I can make and sell you songs (and the rights that go with them in totality) like this for a small fee. Perhaps you want something for a short film, video game, presentation or website? Or maybe you just like my music so damn much that you want to own the rights to a piece of it!! If any of these is the case, then get in touch!
